MessageThis bowl comes from the Acoma Pueblo in New Mexico. This is a classic example of the Acoma style of ceramics, classified by its thin walls and light weight. Also keeping within traditional styles is the interior design of the bowl, a black and white geometric pattern that resembles other ceramics from the pueblo. What is unique about this bowl is the exterior color, the red pigment that this bowl has been painted. There are markings on the bottom made in pencil.
