I hate my kitchen.
It's dark.
It's outdated.
It's cramped.
It's hot.
And this particular day I was staring at my kitchen from another room feeling all sorts of big feelings about how much I hated my kitchen...promptly deciding it's too far gone and that we just need to move.
And in that same moment, a glimmer of a thought broke through and suggested that I freeze frame this moment and paint my asshole kitchen.
And the most amazing thing happened.
I painted my kitchen, and my people in the kitchen, and their artwork hanging in the kitchen, and their laptops propped open on the kitchen table that I build from scratch, along with unfinished homework.
And my kitchen felt like the most perfect place in the world.
