This is part of a series of paintings completed after a lone journey in 1982 along the shore from Pond Inlet on Baffin Island. The last brushstrokes on my paintings are my signature. It simply says that another moment in my life has passed and that I am completely satisfied with that experience. If not, the painting is destroyed. I believe that the artist should be his own worst critic thereby remaining honest to the end result.
