"FEELIN' GOOD" is a vibrant painting that beautifully captures the spirit of optimism and empowerment. In this artwork, a young Black woman, adorned in Afrocentric fashion with pigtails, radiates confidence and positivity. Her head is held high, reflecting her unwavering optimism.

Set against a rich red background symbolizing resilience, this painting pays homage to the Black Power and Civil Rights movements of the 1960s and 1970s and their profound impact on the youth. During this era, young people passionately advocated for positive changes in education, values, legal enforcement, and entertainment.

However, "FEELIN' GOOD" also celebrates the youth's profound acknowledgment of Black achievements, legacies, pride, and power. The theme of 'Black is Beautiful' is vividly represented through afros, tribal prints, vibrant colors, and a sense of unity within the Black community. This artwork serves as a visual reminder of the resilience, pride, and strength that emerged during a pivotal period in history.
