MessageTanya, born in Mexico, grew up in Tijuana, where her artistic journey began at a young age, studying fashion illustration alongside her regular schooling. Her relentless passion for art led her to fill her school books with sketches. At 17, she moved to Mexico City, immersing herself in its vibrant art scene, which inspired her to paint and delve into Mexican culture.
In the early ‘90s, her family relocated to Los Cabos, where she started selling her art locally, marking her one of the pioneers of the Baja art movement. She earned a bachelor’s degree in product design from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and furthered her artistic education at the El Nigromante the School of Fine Arts in San Miguel de Allende.
From 2001 to 2010, Tanya lived in various U.S. states, where she explored mixed media and showcased her work in galleries, making a name for herself in the art world. In 2010, she became a student of the Scottsdale Artist League School in Arizona.
Returning to Los Cabos, she established Studio TT Art School and Gallery, a vibrant community hub for art enthusiasts. Tanya’s artistic journey now spans between Vermont and Los Cabos, with her work gracing collections worldwide. She is celebrated as a remarkable artist in the world of figurative art.
