I came across this Raven while hiking to Sunwapta Falls. I could hear it calling long before I was able to see it on the edge of the trail sitting on some deadfall. It didn't seem to care about my presence and continued on with it's calling. I was intrigued by the call that I had never heard before and upon doing some research found that their calls can be heard from more than a mile away and that there are 33 different categories of calls based on sound and context. I loved the lighting which displayed it's iridescent feathers so nicely. Both it's call and it's feathers helped in deciding the title.
