Where I live we have an abundance of Great Grey owls which are easily spotted along the roads in trees and on fence posts, but it is less common to come across Horned owls. This Great Horned Owl decided to rest on my neighbours gate in their scale house. I was able to take a lot of great reference photos while it peacefully slept. This owl is our provincial bird.
