I Hear The Train A Comin'

While making our annual trip through the Rockies to the coast, my husband and I came across this guy resting on the train tracks. Although I named it "I Hear The Train A Comin'", playfully thinking of a line from a Johnny Cash song, the matter of bears on tracks is very serious. Many bears die on train tracks, apparently unaware that the train is coming. They hang out on the tracks to eat grain that falls from the cars, berries along the tracks, and because like all roadways they are easy to travel.
