Researching Works for a future Loan

Tommy Alexander is a Collector based in New York whose collective works explore the human body and its movement through space. He chose to select a diverse range of artists from all backgrounds who explore a variety of materials. The works in Alexander’s collection portray the many layers of the body based on influences of Colonialism, societal norms and religion. Through his collection, he has been able to create a unique visual narrative that is rooted in irreversible conversation and expansion. His pieces examine the body in both its physicality and as an entity that contains a myriad of emotions. Through giving light on specifically Indigenous works and objects, and the collaboration with Costalx Foundation, the Cultural Museum of Education will provide insight into the complexities through a new and thought-provoking perspective.

Exhibition is scheduled for May of 2025
