Ever since I watched the documentary on Takaya the Lone Wolf I have been in awe of this magnificent wolf. A lone wolf who travelled to Discovery Island not knowing if he could survive there but survive he did and thrive he did for a number of years. Takaya touched my heart through his beauty, strength of character and the will to survive against all odds. Takaya's death was a tradegy and I think of him often and this is why I wanted to honour and contribute to Takayas legacy.
