Sean “Flynch” Behnsen was born and raised in Victoria, BC. From bright & vivid colours to popping metallics, his paintings have a certain mystique about them. His artwork has been featured multiple years in the Rocksteady Collective, an exhibition held annually at the Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival. He is currently painting a series that focuses on wildlife that’s been affected by the encroachment of human expansion and development. The first in this series, depicting a Great Horned Owl, is on display as a ceiling tile at Paul Archer’s downtown Victoria gallery and studio. His “Takaya” piece is the 3rd piece of this series.
