"Eleanor Brennan is a visual artist and art teacher living and working on the west coast of Ireland. She likes to work with a variety of media and create paintings, drawings and sometimes prints depending on the themes or ideas she is exploring. Surrounded by nature she finds it a huge source of inspiration from which to make work with trees, animals and birds featuring strongly within her work. She is also interested in making connections between the nature within us and the wild parts of ourselves, instincts, feelings, senses, etc as well as looking to the world of fairytale, dreams, spirituality and the imagination from which to draw inspiration from.
Eleanor has always had a fascination with wolves, their physical beauty, pack psychology and the gap between the wolf portrayed in fiction and the reality wolves are facing today. She sees the similarities we have as species and the need to look at redefining the image of what a wolf is from one to be feared and killed to one that can be understood more fully. "
