Our favorite hotel in Madrid has a stained-glass dome over the dining room. Just as I sat down for morning coffee I saw the dome, with the early sun streaming behind, reflected in my coffee spoon. The mindset of looking for the beauty in the world is rewarding in itself. Actively looking for beauty is a joy I've rediscovered since returning to the visual arts. Finding such a beautiful vignette is a great bonus. Sharing it with others is even better.
