The Lazarus Gallery, upstairs at TAG is named after watercolorist Shelly Lazarus, a founder of TAG. It has one featured space just opposite where you enter the door to the room. One horizontal image alone couldn't command the space so I wanted this piece to make a first impression. I created a triptych out of one of my favorite images, based on El Faro Sunset. I felt the commanding lines of the seawall, the waters, the sunset, and the sky would unite these images.
