This series of paintings and sculpture is inspired by Cuban/Haitian refugees, and the environmental crisis in the Everglades. The paintings are oil on canvas and draw their inspiration from my personal observations of refugee craft. The sculptures are created with objects I salvaged from a Cuban/Haitian refugee boat and placed them on a pedestal that brings attention to the personal greed of politicians and big corporations, discrediting scientific evidence resulting in the environment disaster at Everglades National Park.
