This artwork illustrates what an old and leaking DDT barrel looks like when half-buried in the bottom of the Pacific, off of the coast of southern California. A strangely beautiful microbial ring has developed from the leaking DDT, which glows from the lighting of underwater photo-video. I have placed fish swimming near the barrel, to emphasize that it is underwater and this is the context of their environment.
