Every work of Art has a story. The Lion King, standing 72 inches tall, is a visual testament to filling in the gap for the vulnerable, giving voice to the voiceless, and turning obstacles into miracles. This piece was born from a deeply personal journey that began in February 2024, when I received a desperate call from my mother. Faced with a difficult decision, I chose to return home-- to my roots to the life that gave me life.
In the solitude of a remote cabin on my family land in the forests of upstate New York, I witnessed the profound impact of showing up for someone in need. The act of love and sacrifice not only transformed my mothers life but my own. This artwork carries that essence--- the power of healing, of courage, of answering the call.
