Hello friends,
As this year comes to a close, I'd like to share what I am most thankful for and tell you a story about painting my way through a pandemic.
Yesterday, on December 30, the final bits of color were added to the last of my paintings of 2020. That marked the completion of 20 paintings since January. It was certainly not planned, but my upcoming solo show at the Museum of Art and History in Christiansburg, proved to be the perfect antidote to this year.
“Explorations: Landscapes of the Heart” is set to for January 8th – March 1. The majority of the pieces feature a landscape composition, with layers upon layers of color. A virtual tour is in the works and I will send it out a link near the end of January.
So, I look to 2021 with gratefulness for my family, who love and challenge me. You color life with examples of strength, perseverance, and humor. To friends, near and far, you color life with generosity of spirit and examples of curiosity and dedication.
