This is a short follow up to my January newsletter.
The upcoming week sis the final days of my show, Explorations: Landscapes of the Heart.
These twenty paintings blessed me with the gift of peace while I painted them, and the show generated more interest than I ever imagined. The solitary bliss of painting has been matched by the overwhelming support of friends. Family and fellow artists. Once again, a big thank you to the museum staff for a sharing a great space, A big thank you the Blacksburg Regional Art Association. This group is the place to attempt new things and challenges each of us to keep creating New members are always welcome, A warm thank you for all those who trekked out to see the show in person during one of the coldest and snowiest January in awhile. (Especially my brother John, who drove in all the way from Albany, NY!!!) And lastly, it is an hour to thank the new art owners that purchased pieces at this show. (Seven as of this writing.) I look forward to getting these paintings into their new homes the second week of March. And I would love to see a photo of them in their new space!
As Promised I created an online video of the show. I must bed your kindness as this is the first video I have ever created. It was done on a frigid, windy day, without a script, in 30 minutes, with about 8 clips(one take each); all the while holding my phone at the end of a selfie stick!!!
