A warm welcome to Art Stories

Greetings!
It is the month of May! And the change of seasons comes in bits and pieces. I am thankful for the way the sun reaches into warm us and some days even allows for sleeveless shirts and sandals.
On March 5 we took down my first solo painting show. Explorations: Landscapes of the Heart generated seven sales and several commissions. My next show was less than a month away, so the remaining 13 paintings stayed in their packaging leaning against the living room furniture.
On April 30 the seven paintings, along with seven watercolors from 2019 left fo a solo show at Bluefield College, in Bluefield, Virginia. Sustaining: Landscapes of the Heart is on display on the first floor on Lansdell Hall until August 27, 2021.
In the studio I have been able to complete paintings since March. “Returning Departures”, pictured above was submitted and accepted in the Perspective Gallery Theme Show, “Place”. This juried art show is for the members of the Blacksburg Regional Art Association and it is a thrill to be included.
