Hello my friends,

Colors of autumn have mostly disappeared. But it has been glorious!

Since my last newsletter (June 2022), I have made several trips to be with the grand girls and one short trip to Ouray, Colorado. While in Blacksburg the main activities have been very slow, very short walks with Princess Pepper, my aging Lab. These really are not walks as much as they are 30 minute sniff fests. I am happy to let this her sniff as much as she likes. She also very much LOVES to be with the grand girls!

The feeling is mutual.

For many of us, myself included working toward a “finish line” keeps me motivated and on task. But it was with exuberant relief that my final painting for “Garden Respite” was completed on October 26, 2022. Two days before the show was to be hung at the Hahn Garden Pavilion.

Bashfully, I brought the finished painting to Pippi Miller (of Miller Off Main in Blacksburg) on Thursday October 27. I told Pippi it would be great to have the piece by November 16 -my artist talk date. But she had that painting ready the next day by 2! With the help of Linda Correll and the Hahn Pavilion staff we were able to get the show completely hung by 5PM!

Here is the Show Information:

Garden Respite

A collection of 23 paintings prompted by nature, with the majority inspired by the beautiful Hahn Garden.

November 16, 2022 - There will be a very short artist's talk at noon. I hope to see you there!

Also on the completed list -the 24” x 48”commissioned piece for Rebekah Paulson and Mark Pierson. It now hangs happily in their home!

Last but not least I have a small photography show at

Long and Foster Real Estate 3601 Holiday Lane Blacksburg, VA 24060

Portals Revisited”

This show revisits my love of the doors. These doors are located on the island country of Cyprus in the eastern Mediterranean. Please feel free to stop by Long and Foster, let the receptionist know you would like to take a peek at the artwork in their lobby and meeting room.

It is a joy to have these opportunities to share my art! The cycle of working toward completion of several art projects has generously allowed me to paint with focus most of this year, but I am am ready to pause just a bit. It is in the restful bits we can take time to see where we've been and what we may want to focus on next. I hope the end of 2022 brings you blessings, love and light.

Much love,

Teri
