Art Stories- a bi-monthly update on studio Happening and heart ramblings.

A warm welcome to Art Stories

By Teri H Hoover

Many of you are already aware my paintings from 2020 are on display at the Montgomery Museum of Art and History, at 300 Pepper St, Chirstansburg, Va, Many thanks to Gerri Young for the superb crafting of the article for the papers. A big thank you to the museum staff who really knows how to do a media blitz! Special thank to Sue Farrar and Jess Burgard. It seems the local papers and social media are very receptive to art news in January. And last but not least thanks to my husband, Chuck Hoover, for knowing lots of things, including how to hang art and being tall enough to change a light bulb, without a step stool.

Explorations: Landscapes of the Heart up through March 1, 20121.

Tuesday-Friday 10:30AM- 4:30 PM

Properly worn face coverings required.

An on-line tour is in the works and a link will be ready in mid February to be shared via email and social media. Also, I offer 15 minute private tours, with yours truly. I would love to share my art with you! Contact me at [email protected] to set up a date and time.

With the saturation of holiday activities, art show preparations and stressful domestic events, including the continues impact of Covid: I feel a bit adrift. For me this is the perfect time to return to the studio. But, I have been procrastinating. Filling my time with the noble diversions of home and friends, There has also been an unhealthy dose of too much news and media.

It is time to expand back to creating.

Time to climb the stairs to a tiny upstairs studio,

with freshly cleaned windows and a paint covered rug.

… to test out he new paints and mark making tools.

...to once again be comforted by the wild mess of 4 or 5 canvases-

vying for my attention and just a bit more color.

… to once again summon beauty from what appears to be tangled.

Until next time, stay well.

Love today and always,

Teri
