This inspiration for this piece was found on farmland in southwest Virginia.

My forays into plein air are few, but good artists friends take me out on their excursions about three times a year. I am diligent in bringing all my supplies (acrylic or watercolor) a comfy chair, hat, bug spray The list goes on. I photograph and video the scene, since I never finish on site. Once back in the studio I have plenty of reference images and videos to play on my ipad.
