During the pandemic my obsession with data and science converged with a sudden preoccupation with cooking. Both were a means to control my situation and anxiety. I maintained spreadsheets with COVID rates from where loved ones lived which scratched the analytical part of my brain, while I also started cooking new foods which allowed me to show love to my immediate family at home. These pieces comment on the tools we used to withstand the pandemic and how many women also moved back, or were pushed, towards domesticity.
