“Throw Caution to the Wind” is part of a large series of paintings I worked on after a visit to Orkney earlier this year. The abstracted quality of it lends itself to other Scottish landscapes, but it was the colourful swirling clouds that - in my mind at least - remind me of the collection of remote but friendly islands.
