This work was inspired by a rock formation I found in one of the national parks in Utah. Inside a cleft in a red rock wall, there was a formation that looked like a female figure. Conceptually, this work symbolizes birth and regeneration. The woman is being born from the womb of the earth, as well as being pregnant herself. The subtle blue dots along her body symbolize the course of energy running through her and the surrounding rocks. This piece also celebrates the Earth Mother Goddess, Gaia.
