In the upper left, barely visible, the number 421.42 is the seasonally adjusted number for the parts per million of carbon in the atmosphere for the month of July. The numbers 07/23 also appear in the painting.
This piece celebrates the possibilities of a positive relationship of people to nature, while also bearing witness to the silent killer that is human caused climate change.
