was inspired by a photo of silent film actress, Lorna Duveen, from around 1925. I am captivated by vintage photos, spending hours on end looking at photographs of people whose day-to-day lives happened so long ago. I’m always looking for a face to catch my eye or a story within the image to spark my imagination. I guess you could say I have a certain nostalgia for the past, for time periods before I was a twinkle in my parents’ eyes, perhaps just longing for simpler times.
