M. Katherine Hurley earned her BFA from Mount St. Joseph in 1974. She studied under colorist Wolf Kahn and travelled to Italy and France to study art and art history. Hurley paints landscapes in oil and pastel and is known for the evocative emotions and colorful depictions that she captures on the canvas. She is also a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and has been a practicing professional artist in Cincinnati, Ohio since 1976 with a studio at The Pendleton Art Center.
