Artist: Jance Lentz-Hatch (American, 1941-2018)
Jance Lentz-Hatch was born in Canton, Ohio. Her family moved to Mentor and Willoughby, and she spent lived most of her life in Kent. In 1981 she left her job as a medical illustrator at the Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy to pursue a career as an independent artist with a focus on impressionistic landscapes. Her first gallery representation was with the Fisher Galleries in Washington, and eventually went on to hold more than 30 one-woman shows and had been accepted into dozens of exhibitions. Her pieces have been shown in many museums and galleries, such as the Butler Museum in Youngstown, the Gallery 10 in Kent, and the Bonfoey Gallery in Cleveland.
