Artist: Herman Moll (English, 1654-1732)
Herman Moll was a London cartographer, engraver, and publisher. In the 1690s, Moll worked as an engraver for Christopher Browne, Robert Morden, and Lea. It was around this time that he began creating and publishing his own maps. Moll produced his earliest maps from studying cartographers such as John Senex and Emanuel Bowen. Much of his work was done independently at this time.
