"The Moon" is part of an illustrated tarot card collection inspired by Filipino folklore. This card depicts the story of how the moon developed an appetite for human flesh and was punished by having its light dimmed, destined to shine only at night. The theme of cycle is often associated with the moon, and represents renewal and balance in many Filipino creation stories.
