Captured in the glow of a low sun, this piece celebrates the commanding presence of the barnyard’s most vibrant inhabitant. I used filtered sunlight to ignite the rooster’s deep oranges and reveal the hidden iridescence in his black feathers, contrasting that warmth with long, sweeping shadows that ground him in the earth.
It’s a study of the "farmhouse" spirit—where the grit of the barnyard meets the fleeting, golden elegance of the first morning light.
