Reverse painting on plexiglass is a derivative of a centuries-old process of painting on the reverse side of glass, so that the paint is seen through the glass and the surface is very flat and the colour of the paint is intensified. In this painting, I have used plexiglass as it is less breakable than glass, and I have used acrylic paint, and then mounted the finished piece on a canvas support.
