plains eyes

an online exhibition | January - April 2021

plains eyes

Plains eyes” gathers 30 paintings completed between 2012 and 2020. All are oil or acrylic, most on canvas. Included are paintings that could be categorized as “abstract” landscapes and paintings that could be categorized as “pure” abstracts. But I would categorize all of them as lyrical abstractions, each less concerned with representing objects than with evoking the kind of all-at-once vision characteristic of lyric poetry. The exhibit will be available here on Artwork Archive from January through April.

Since September, I've been using Artwork Archive's "private room" feature to create online exhibitions. (This is the second.) It requires no registration, no proprietary app, and no special equipment; and it doesn't eat up bandwidth or pester you with advertisements. The room is "private" only in the sense that you need a link to get to it using whatever device you have available. I think of the link as a door to the gallery. All you have to do is open it to enter and enjoy the exhibit.

So here's the door:
