The artwork is a sculptural wall piece representing a heart. It is crafted with a textured, irregular surface that has a weathered and distressed appearance. The artwork is a three-dimensional sculptural piece shaped like a heart made with porcelain clay, the hardest and whiteness of all clays. It has an organic, textured surface with a mix of dark and light tones, predominantly in shades of white, gray, and brown. The surface features irregular patches, giving it a weathered or burnt appearance from pit firing and gun powders. The heart shape is somewhat abstract with folds and creases, suggesting a sense of vulnerability or being wrapped. Gap is sown together with copper wire. The overall impression is one of rawness and emotional intensity.
This object of affection is created in an explosive momentary flash of fire from gun powder, what I feel is a better use of powder. The hearts represent burning desire, pain and loss, scars often hidden but ever present.
