This piece is a Kansetsu-ho (Indirect) Gyotaku print of a Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) , printed on 8 mm Habotai Silk and presented as a banner.

This Gyotaku print was made from a Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) that came from the endorheic alkaline lake named Eagle Lake in Northern California. Highly prized for their fight and stamina, These rainbows have also evolved a particular spotting pattern endemic to Eagle Lake.
