Bas Relief of a footbridge over a creek in Camp Verde, Arizona. The creek floods up to twenty feet during monsoon season. Locals must walk a quarter mile on this seemingly treacherous found-item bridge to arrive to the road. Old discarded telephone poles, cable, chicken wire and planks keep the residents narrowly tied to their community. The precarious safety of the bridge is an analogy for the riskiest trials we must face at times in our lives. The community can come together to build the bridge crossing danger, but the traveller must walk alone to get to safety.
