Portal to a Forgotten World

Stone
This captivating new sculpture draws inspiration from Uplistsikhe, the ancient rock-hewn city in Georgia. Constructed primarily of chert and sandstone, the piece evokes the feeling of stepping through a collapsed doorway into a lost underground world. The stones tumble organically, as though marking the entrance to this forgotten city, while a small piece of red jasper at the base adds a pop of colour and balance. The contrast between the earthy textures and the vibrant jasper captures both the mystery and timeless beauty of natural forms and ancient civilisations. Ideal for lovers of archaeology and the enduring allure of stone.
