Having dedicated more than two decades to the art of sculpting and painting flowers, my latest series of flower paintings holds a special place in my creative journey. Each piece in this collection is a tribute to memory and a celebration of the natural world's breathtaking beauty.

My inspiration for these paintings draws from a profound connection to nature and a cherished memory from many years ago. I once created a sculpture garden that I opened to the public a few times a year. Among the array of blooms, lilies stood out, captivating me with their majestic presence that emerges from a seemingly dormant bulb. This quiet transformation resonated deeply with me, symbolising the cycles of life and the potential for beauty to emerge from the simplest beginnings.

"Lily" encapsulates the essence of this remarkable flower. Through layers of vibrant pigment and dynamic brushstrokes, I've sought to capture the lily's regal stature and delicate intricacies. As I applied each stroke, I channeled my admiration for the flower's ability to rise from the ground and bloom in all its glory.

Recently, my work has been described as a transition—a reshaping of my artistic vision from sculptural forms to the canvas. This transition holds a significance beyond technique; it's an exploration of new expressions and a continuation of my pursuit of beauty in various mediums. Drawing inspiration from the post-impressionist movement and the fine art tradition, I've endeavoured to convey the profound search for beauty that unites humanity.

With "Lily," I invite viewers to join me on a journey through colour and form, to witness the transformation of inspiration into art. This painting encapsulates the spirit of a flower that has captivated me for years, evoking a sense of wonder and an appreciation for the exquisite world we inhabit.

Passionate about the intersection of art, education, and design, I am , an artist, educator, and innovative designer with a rich history in shaping creative landscapes. My journey began at prestigious art institutions, including the Wimbledon School of Art and the Bath Academy of Art, where I honed my skills in sculpture, painting and drawing.

🌟 Artistic Journey:

With a career spanning over three decades, I've cultivated a diverse artistic portfolio. As the former Gallery Manager at Stephanie Burns Fine Art, I curated exhibitions and fostered relationships with artists and collectors. This experience not only deepened my understanding of visual aesthetics but also allowed me to infuse creativity into retail spaces.

🎓 Educator at Heart:

My commitment to education led me to become an artist and educator, shaping young talents through Art Classes and Kids Art Club. I believe in nurturing creativity, emphasizing imagination over rules, much like my approach to art. As the Founder & Trustee of The Peter Fuller Memorial Foundation, I orchestrated lectures in collaboration with the Tate Gallery, showcasing a deep knowledge of art history and its impact on culture.

✨ Innovative Design:

In 2016, I ventured into the world of design, launching AqaYoga, a brand that seamlessly blends design and well-being. As the Owner and Designer, I demonstrated innovation and market positioning, infusing my artistic knowledge into bespoke fashion and home decor. This endeavor showcased my ability to think creatively and push boundaries.

🌏 Global Exploration:

Born into a world of exploration, with my father being a seasoned oilman with 71 strikes in his exploration career, I grew up traversing the globe. From working with geologists in Perth, WA, as a teenager to accompanying my father on trips worldwide, including the construction of a gas pipeline in Siberia, my experiences have shaped my global perspective.

🎨 Current Ventures:

Currently, I balance my roles as an Art Teacher, imparting the importance of seeing beyond conventional perspectives, and as an artist continuing to create diverse artworks. I am deeply invested in promoting self-care and wellness, evident in my daily sea swims and yoga practices.
