I was taken by the gorgeous pops of light on this shadowy path between fields above Fritchley, Derbyshire. Created as a study from a photograph, I was interested in keeping the darkness of the image while allowing the glow of the little pools of sunlight to shine. Begun as a demonstration piece, and finished while on artist residency at Aqueduct Cottage, Cromford.
