Andy Shaw, French Bulldog Cruising by the Pool, 2020, acrylic paint on canvas, 24 x 30 inches, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford, West. When asked to name his favorite breed, Shaw responded: “In no particular order, they are the French Bulldog, Bull Terrier, Bedlington Terrier, Dachshund and oh… MC Skateboard Wheelie Dog!” The last breed isn’t one you’ll find at the pet store; it comes from his imagination.
