Xenia

We have a beautiful family maple tree In our backyard planted by my father in law, nurtured by his mother before us, that has become host to a plethora of wonderful birds and other life. Watching the birds and life moving constantly through the tree Is an absolute joy. Despite the constant movement this beautiful tree is host to, I wanted to try to preserve a single still moment, as well as the elegance of this tree and all the beings it is home to. I’m not sure what this little fellow is waiting for or if he is Just saying thanks to the tree and life in his own way, But I enjoyed capturing him and the tree in this moment.

“Xenia” is a Greek word for “guest friendship”, it is a request to look after travellers, to open your door to anyone and all because anyone passing by, far from home, might be God.
