Inspired by photographer Christine Gaio’s Photo of a stellars jay bathing. The moment she captured was Of this wonderful creature fanning out as the light hit him creating dense shadows, reflected light and beautiful blues of it’s plumage and as it beautifully fanned it’s tail and feathers they seemingly melts into the water surrounding it . I was also drawn to the gorgeous graceful lines of the bird and how the lighting fell And the appearing out of the water or melting back into nature like an apparition. I was inspired to capture the essence of these elements. When the Instagram 2021 opus practice challenge Posted the prompt “Pride” this photo was the first thing that popped into my mind grateful for christines support and the opportunity to express my love and appreciation for These creatures through the moment she captured and the awe and sense of spirituality I feel through nature and it’s creatures.
