This year I wanted to create artworks that immersed me in the process of making. The repetition of the same lines drew me further and further into the experience of painting and forced me to connect to the present moment. This process-driven, not product-driven approach led me to my final works: which are essentially recordings of my movement, each line being a mark to record that specific moment in time. I also wanted the viewer to become engrossed in the scale of the artwork, through the encapsulating, complex structures that I have created.
