Zinnias stand as a reminder to never forget absent friends and lasting affection. I painted this en plein air or out in the open air at Rushton Farms in Newtown Square, PA. Rushton Farm at Rushton Woods Preserve uses protected land for a purpose beyond its recreational value and benefit to wildlife. Using the concept of agroecology (farming with nature in mind) and using organic and regenerative farming practices, they put the land to work to feed people and further enhance the surrounding ecosystems.
