One of many images of Deborah (artist's wife at the time) in the bathtub.
PROCESS DESCRIPTION
Hardground etching on zinc on top of drypoint. Only the etching was proofed. Drawing done from life with etching point. The zinc plate was etched in nitric acid quickly, without brushing away the resulting air bubbles which created a "bubbly" line when printed. Multiple proofs were printed on different occasions, at the Visual Arts Center of Alaska, Anchorage, Alaska.

Multiple proofs printed, some have added handwork. There are eleven trial proofs, numbered TP/1 through TP/11. Signed "S.G. 1978" below image at bottom right.
