His left arm is across his face with the upper arm under his head. The drawing is on Southworth 100 percent cotton Parchment Deed, sheet size 8.5x11 inches. The drawing extended beyond the 11-inch paper width and a cut piece of the same kind of paper was added, the two pieces secured to one another on verso with Lineco archival linen hinging tape, which is removable. The drawing was done at the Visual Arts Center of Alaska in Anchorage.
