ABOUT THIS PRINT
The lithograph crayon drawing was rapidly done directly on a marble lithograph stone looking out the window of the Visual Arts Center of Alaska, which was located on airport property. The marble stone was purchased from Tamarind Master Printer Bob Evermon of Vancouver, B.C., Canada, and shipped to Alaska. Evermon advised that the stone was from the Carrara marble quarry in Italy and would be pure white. Instead, it was streaked with gray, certainly not pure white. This was the first image drawn on that stone.
PROCESS DESCRIPTION
Lithograph crayon drawing on a new marble litho stone, processed and proofed with black ink only on a lithograph press.
EDITION RECORD
At least six proofs were printed on three pieces of paper, a proof on each side of the sheet. There may be at least one other proof which may have been hand colored. No edition was printed.
