Painted quickly as the sun went down at a ranch adjacent to Blue Cypress Lake during a period of high water flooding lands and pastures around the lake. Water flowing north from here forms the headwaters of the St. Johns River. Following the glorious sunset, at dusk here came the mosquitoes. On hardboard panel with artist-made frame. Added to the Florida Ranch Series and St. Johns River Series of paintings. Also see SG-2012, same flooded pasture, rapidly painted the same evening, approximately 6x12 inches.
